I saw discussion of band 71, and an october article that said the ROG 2 did not.

Does that mean the ROG 3 will be able to work on our new combined network? I'm hoping so. This phone might be a decent competitor to Samsung for my wallet.

The ROG II does work on Tmobile or AT&T but not Sprint or Verizon because of their CDMA network. The only problem with the ROG II is it did not support VoLTE for AT&T or Tmobile so when either shuts down their 3G networks in the couple of years, VoLTE would be required for all phone calls. XDA has guides for enabling but you would need to root your phone. ROG III should be the same but no telling if VoLTE is enabled out of the box yet for the US version.
