Sounds good but tmobiles hotspot@home is a lot better deal. There is no extra hardware to buy and works anywhere there is an open wifi connect.

Its very similar but sprints is far to over priced. Plus your limited on phones that can use it. If you have your buddy over to your house and he has sprint he can't get the signal. If you have tmobile and samething your buddy can use your wifi.

Its a good idea just poorly executed on sprints part. They limited it too much and charge to much for it. If I was a customer with sprint and they wanted to charge me for this I would just cancel and go with a carrier that got coverage at my house.

Once again we have mis-information posted. ANY Sprint user can use anyone else's Airave signal just fine when visting as long as they have their Airave set to 'open access' (which is the default setting).

It's three simultaneous calls...
you can set the airave to allow all Sprint users to be able to access it, for example, if you have the airave set up in an office, you can set the airave so that anyone in the office can use it. once the airave reaches the three simultaneous calls, all others go to a cell tower....
Here is what the Sprint Airave FAQ's states:
Can other Sprint customers use my Sprint AIRAVE?
All Sprint customers with a Sprint phone can use the AIRAVE and benefit from the
enhanced coverage as long as you have not restricted the AIRAVE. However, the
“visiting” customer must have the Unlimited AIRAVE Voice calling Plan on their
own account in order to take advantage of unlimited domestic calling.

But the Sprint device works with all Sprint phones for voice and 1x data unlike the T-Mobile device which requires certain phones.

Thats the only good thing it has going for it. It doesn't offer the flexability like hotspot@home. Plus having to spend more money on another device on top of buying the phone. No thanks.
