How about we all...
just start to be a little bit more grateful for a new phone instead of "waaa, waaa, this phone is copying this, and "waaa, waa, this phone is not copying this and "waaaa, waaa, this phone doesn't have this." and "waa, waaa this phone has this stupid feature."
This is a great country because we have... if I dare say it... CHOICES. If you don't like it, no one is pointing a gun at you making you buy it. If you do like, by all means, get it if you have the money. But to complain, moaning and groaning does not fix any solution.

Sorry, but even though I agree, your plea will fall on deaf ears. People are closed minded and think everyone else has had the same experiences and opinions as them.
Look at the LG VX3400 forum "why another phone w/o GIN" is an example of what you will find. To which I say "not everyone wants/needs/will use it".
Also you can look at almost any LG or Moto phone forum and see LG fanboys bashing Moto phones and see Moto fanboys bashing LG phones. It could be the best phone EVER but if its from the opposing camp its automatically crap to them and not worthy of a chance.
I just went on a similar rant over the same closed minded ignorance in the discussion about the new Libra device on the news page. Guess I'm just fed up with ignorance t...

Because the US Market is too flooded with middle of the road phones these days. Why celebrate just because there is a new phone? What kind of logic is that? If the phone isn't up to par with our expectations, then we should bash it. This IS a forum, right? Sounds like you are the cry baby...

hm. maybe people like to see cool new phones because the market is NOT too flooded. people are obviously happier to see design innovation like this than to see true middle of the road phones like the 5300. also, the phone companies don't give a flying poop what you say. go ahead and bash it, you can say you "should" do it as much as you want, but the market doesn't care. 🙄 the market only...

I was responding to a post asking why don't people stop bashing a phone and celebrate simply because we have choices. I like to celebrate my choices by choosing to speak my mind, that's all. I agree that we are weak in quality selection, but my point is don't go to a forum and become surprized when you see people pointing out weaknesses in new phones. If someone is trying to stop those posts under the guise of "stop crying, we all have choices", then they are trying to stop free speach, destroying their entire original arguement. It's saying yes we have free speach, but using it is "crying". C'mon!

I agree with what you are "trying" to say. You said it. "The sqeaky wheel gets the grease." It's not "The WHINEY wheel gets the grease."
I don't know about you, but for me I just have met TOO many people who have such a negative mentality that I question myself if someone where to give them a million dollars, they would turn around and say "But, what about tax?!?"
I personaly don't like that mentality and try to be grateful on everything that comes my way. That's all I was really trying to say.
