Could that be $300 - $100 instant rebate if you subscribe for unlimited data? 👀

Still, better then expected.

these days you have to suscribe to a data package when getting a pda on any cdma network.

atleast eros =vzw's act system and fast =sprints act system wouldnt allow it.

yeah that is what i keep hearing, but yet sitting next to me is a 6700 with no data package? just had to go in and change some settings so it doesn't connect to data and you are good. It will still let you text message, just no mms for pix and flix.

WRONG!!!! Only the Blackberry devices need to have the UNL Data package on it. You can get any wireless sync phone without the data package. Including all three Treo's. Maybe you can't activiate one from your eroes system because you are a reseller. At corporate run stores and kiosks you can activate all PDA phones except the blackberry with a pay as you go data package. If you are going to use the data at all on the phone, I'd highly recommend the data package because the pay as you go can be pretty expensive.

It'll be dependent on a contract, but traditionally you do not have to have a data plan to qualify for a rebate.

By the by, those of you who seem offended by unlimited data plans, be very careful before you go slapping pay as you go on this thing. Data devices do NOT get billed airtime for 1X/EVDO use. Pay as you go means $0.015/KB, which builds up pretty quick. That will include not only internet access, wireless sync, and email, but also any pix sent/rcv.

Remember it's a "SMART PHONE" not a "PDA". I expect to sell a butt-ton of these. Hopefully huge shipemnts are coming in to provide for the masses.

This is true but from what i was informed that pricing is only there if you are able to upgrade and you are getting the unlimited data package if not you will not get that type of pricing at all!!! ☚ī¸
