There's no proof either way regarding cell phones causing cancer. But the idea of a 5 year old having a cell phone is just insane. The world is coming to an end.

Why would a 5 year old kid need it anyways, if they are out on there own at that age then the parents need the tracking device so the cops can tell them to go to jail for being bad parents... I can understand if a kid was in Junior High and all, and has somewhat of a brain, dont want them to use 10000 text messages(real story heard from a customer) and like 300 minutes and get a huge bill... That is understandable, but geez.... They are making these phones for 2 year olds that just learned to talk...

I recently gave my 6 year old daughter a cell phone, why you ask?
Because she lives 2 hours away from me and during the time I don't have her it takes an act of Congress for her mother to answer the phone if it is me calling, unless it is the 1st of the month and then she calls me for her check.
I now talk to my daughter every day, she calls me when she gets home from school and we talk about how our days are, I have even taught her how to take pictures and send them to my phone as well as recieve pictures from me which means we can see each other every day.
There are many people in the same situation as myself that see this as the solution to a bigger issue than just their kid needing a phone, I now can talk to and see my daughter ...

There are a million things that cause cancer. By your logic, cigarettes and cigars must immediately be banned.
Microwaves can't be too healthy, let's get rid of them too.
Oh, and TV rots the kid's brain, let's get rid of that too.
The internet can provide them with plenty of inappropriate material, and allows child molesters to talk to them, so shut it down too.
In fact, let's just get rid of electricity entirely. If a kid sticks his finger in the outlet, well, s/he won't be the same afterward.
Or, instead of locking ourselves in the dark ages, perhaps we can TEACH the kid when...
