$20bln is a real lot of money! Sprint oughta be able to accomplish a lot with that! Look at how fast T-Mobile deployed LTE with the $4bln it got from ATT!

Sprint is currently in our area getting LTE up. I have it at work, at home, and most of the areas I visit. There still are quite a few 3G spots but 3G has also got noticeably faster. I'm loving the speed improvements and unlimited data. I'm assuming they are wanting to do this so they can build it out faster. It will get built its just a matter of when.
