I have an old HP DV4000 that runs on a single-core Centrino at 1.7 Ghz. The fan is not very good so it gets hot when lots of memory is being used, I run Windows 7 with 1 GB of ram, so having 3 - 4 programs open will make it run hot.
Running IE or Firefox slows the computer down alot after 5 - 10 minutes of normal internet browsing, and it gets hot.
Running Chrome - I never, ever have speed problems, the computer does not get hot as fast, and videos also play smoother when running full screen. It's chrome or nothin'
