Sprint (or any of the other carriers)...

might not have "used Carrier IQ's software to examine the contents of customer phones...", but that doesn't mean any employee(s) with know-how within the company didn't.

Or illegally by the FBI or other Law Enforcement agencies for that matter.
Illegally? The FBI and Police? They NEVER break the law! What are you talking about!! 👀

Well, this is it.

I think Carrier IQ was initially and still being used as the carriers suggest to help with their network. But I don't trust in the end, thats what it will always be used for. Its a foot in the door. Recently they used Predators for police work, the promise initially to protect the borders from so called terrorist infiltration, see how that goes, already a lie and one being accepted. Same with devices like ezpass, we're using it just as a billing scheme, now, used for speed control, getting warrants from civil suits because my husband is cheating and is driving to his GF's. Thats my fear with C IQ.
