Changing the lock button?

Is there a way to change the lock button on this phone? I'm having a significant problem with it going off in my pocket after locking.

Not neccesarily changing the location, but anything that would help. Adding another step to unlocking, password, etc. would do the trick. Thanks for any help you can provide!

ATT Bold 9900 7.1 Upgrade

Does anyone know when ATT will be sending the 7.1 update to phone?

How about turning on NFC?

Any reviews for 7.1 specifically battery life?

9790

Is this new model the update to the 9900? And based on the recent RIM press release that they are delaying all NEW devices until end of 2012 is this new model delayed as well?

Price drop any time soon?

Does anyone know how soon TMobile might drop the price on this phone? I find the introductory $299 a little tough to swallow but am in desperate need of a new phone.

Too Late

Thanks AT&T for waiting so long. Was really going to purchase the 9900. Have been a Blackberry user for many many years but ..... iphone 5 is coming out next month. Was not interested in the iphone mostly because of the lack of the keypad. Have been using an ipad for a few months and am actually getting used to the screen for typing (their spell ahead is really good). Will probably jump onto the apple bandwagon. Wonder if it is too late for blackberry, their next operating system is a year away and might already be out of date when it arrives. Still have my doubts and about 3-4 weeks to change my mind - who knows.

REAL TMobile Relese Date?

Does anyone have any confirmed info on a real release data on TMobile? All the reps are saying is end of August ( ☹️ ) but I thought I had read elsewhere 8/8 for demos in stores and around 8/21 for release.

So close.

I went from the curve 8310 to the bold 9700 and thought it was a huge improvement. It wasn't enough to satisfy my curiosity so I made the move to android. I've owned the android for just over a year now and I'm seriously considering moving back to blackberry. I just can't figure out why blackberry won't allow you to customize your screen and make the move to widgets. It seems kind of juvenile I'm sure, but it's a little thing that makes a big difference. It seems ironic to me that blackberry, an os that has always given you a ton of freedom (easily allowing you to take your full length songs and set as ring tones, easily customize the background image) is going to be the last to allow you to fully customize and personalize your home screen...

What do you mean? I've owned BBs and I downloaded a lot of different themes for my phone. I wish I could remember the site that I use to use but if you Google Blackberry 9700 themes I am sure you find plenty of good sites.
