Sorry boys, but I disagree w/ you on what was said about the range of the FM modulator.

I've gotten over 10 feet of range from it, so it does depend on the location of the antenna, and the strength of the FM antenna you are trying to transmit over.

Otherwise, fairly accurate review. 🙂

I haven't used this phone with this feature yet, but I thought most car antennas are wired into the radio (sorry for the sarcasm) and usually as long as it's near the actual radio (on the dash, in the cup holder, etc.) even if it's a weak signal, it will usually pick it up. Maybe your demo had a bad FM/TX chip in it??

I thought that too, but in my Toyota Camry, the antenna is in the rear windshield. Therefor, the closer to the back of the vehicle, the better.

My buddy has a Chevy pickup with a regular "whip" antenna at the front of the vehicle, and it has great range using the FM transmitter on this phone. I think this feature will vary greatly depending on what vehicle you have?

i've an '03 GTi and went to montreal and back. 620 round-trip miles and used my fusic FM transmitter for more than half the way. 1GB micro & 20 hrs of music and no problems, besides very rare static..

most impressive.

Actually, it doesn't matter how close you are to the car radio itself because the antenna wiring is shielded, so it won't pick up signals close to the radio. It will receive signals near the car antenna only.
