Best Idea Ever

I hope the CU gets their way on this one. In fact, I think they are dead-on in all their critiques of the wireless industry.
😎 Finally. This will most likely mean no more FREE phones. If the phone is unlocked, you pay full price.
Probably will also mean no contracts either. Ahhh, the pending chaos...
But I propose a comprimise. Discount = contract = locked phone. ...

Typical Consumer Union Tripe

These folks have no clue how the real world works, on anything.

It would make it a lot easier to run my business without free phones. Cash flow for me is huge, because I lose money everytime I sell a phone, and commission checks are always slow to come.

But boy, will people have a fit about the phone prices. Some people really think that free phone costs nothing.
Usually, "those customers" are Sprint customers, heh heh heh...

I can hear it now, "Whaddya mean this phone is $250-$500?!? It was free yesterday..."

I weep for the future.

When?

I think this is awesome, if you want a good phone and you like your carrier now you can buy it without being frustrated to death waiting for your carrier to dictate how, when, and were. I only hope this happens soon.
