California to Review AT&T / T-Mobile Deal

Since all these monkeys are jumping on AT&T/T-Mobiles back when they have *no* control or say over the merger/acquisition. What's the point in voting yes or no when your vote has no real effect?

shouldn't the lawmakers in California be focusing relieving the 30-billion dollar debt as opposed to throwing rocks at AT&T? Cell phones aren't going to matter much when the whole state is in a Depression and at the bottom of the Pacific ocean.
