Lack of download is not cool

I was excitedly waiting a Google Music service, but the lack of a download feature is a real negative for me. Am I looking to share my music to pirate it? No, not at all. The reason I want to be able to download it is so that I could upload it all, delete it from my system, and keep my archive in Google with the ability to download it one day in the future or if I want to have a few songs locally on my Android device. I do this now with my photos on Picasa as I uploaded them all, deleted them locally, and can download albums whenever I want. So without being able to download it, I would not feel comfortable deleting it from my local system after uploading it to Google. I have over 1200 songs in my personal music library. I didn't spend 1200 to get it
Yes. Absolutely it is. Why would I buy music even at a $1 a pop if I could get it for free? A thousand songs for a thousand dollars or a thousand for $0.
