Better late then never

Guess its about time for people to be looking for an upgrade and they decide to do this? not sure wtf is going on with the phone makers and carriers. I think if they are going to upgrade a phone it should be done in a timely manner. If not then dont update the phones. cyanogen has 2.3 running on this phone and htc/tmo just now decide to put 2.2 on it. maybe these manufactures and carriers need to hire cyanogen to handle their upgrades.

T-Mobile doesnt do updates OTA?...

Boy is that weird! Someone has to go through all that hassle! OTA is so, so easy.
The other myTouch phones have all been OTA upgrades. This is the only exception. And considering the install issues, I can't say I'm upset at this decision.
I love you, I love t-mobile.

MS Exchange

Before I go and buy this phone I must know. Does anyone use this phone with Exchange Server? Does this phone work as well as any Windows phone with Exchange and MS outlook?
Sorry the late response, yes you can log onto ms outlook you just can't sync it to your phone. I tried and I couldn't but you can use the regular web to do so. Works for my work email.

Ringtones?

Can anyone recommend a good site where I can download ringtones for my phone? I want like actual music, not the prerecorded ones that automatically come with the phone.
Thanks!! 😁

What's with the battery life on the MT3G?

My GF just got this phone and with light usage the battery drains down quick. Even when the phone is in stand by mode, I downloaded the app killer form the market and changed some other settings and she still needs to charge the phone twice a day, I know it runs a lot of apps and stuff and I've adjusted the settings and still....... anyone know of any other apps I can downloaded to help improve battery life?
Thanks

Live Wallpapers??

does anyone know how to get the live wallpapers working on this device?
They won't. HTC decided that the processor can't handle them, plus they didn't want the battery life to be affected, so Live wallpapers are not allowed. not ones from the market or 3rd party APK's.

MyTouch 3G Slide on AT&T

Anyone know if the MyTouch Slide 3G would get the 3G signal from AT&T? I know you can unlock one and use it on the AT&T network, however I'm not sure on the 3G capability..

Thanks
No, it wouldn't work. the 3G bands are different for ATT And Tmobile. you could get EDGE coverage and be able to make/receive calls/SMS, but no 3G. Just go to Tmobile. lol 😁

Facebook Sync

i linked up most of my contacts to their facebook but when they change their facebook picture only some have changed on the phone. i even changed mine and they have it as the same. is there a way i can have the phone update them all the time itself?
It'll change automatically with time. If it doesn't then go into that contact, and when you edit the contact, you can choose the source of the picture again, that might update it.

Search Contacts? Primary Number?

So, I am an at least a 8-10 year Blackberry user and wanted to get with the "cool kids" and try out the latest and greatest. I really like the phone, except for two BIG issues:

1) There is NO way to search the contacts, unless you pull out the keyboard to type like a blackberry or an iPhone search. Am I missing something? Why can't you just tap contacts and then search from that screen? Just like most of you, I have thousands of contacts and scrolling isn't an option.

2) I can go to the phone and use the keypad to search. AWESOME feature. However, for some reach, each contact HAS to have a primary number. So, when I find my contact, if their mobile is the primary and I want to call their work, I am out of luck. I can only call t...

You can search for an alternate phonebook/contact app in the android market(app store). Most of them are free and pretty good.

100 mb memory?

I'm looking at T-Mobile's intranet and the memory is a lot higher than that, 512 MB to be exact!
As rich pointed out along with checking it out live. The phone has limited memory. Odd

Cross Between...

this phone looks like a cross between zune and a blackberry. not impressed.
Me too.

Was just expecting 'more'.

I mean, it doesn't seem like a bad phone, but T-mobile has a reputation of pushing the envelope with their branded handset, and just doesn't feel like a step forward.

I have had a chance to play with this phone and I like it a lot. I have a DROID myself and my friend got this phone yesterday when it came out to replace his G1 (which I rooted to 2.1). The phone has the same processor as the MOTO DROID, the only thin...
