how can anyone who uses the internet be against net neutrality?

We owe it to net neutrality, as it currently exists, that we can even have this conversation online. We have a right to speak out against the government, but we are not guaranteed that privilege when it comes to speaking out against corporations when using their own property. I am connecting to the internet using Verizon's landline DSL system. If Phonescoop ran an article that voiced a negative opinion of Verizon Wireless, which is half owned by Verizon communications, the lack of net neutrality could allow Verizon to block its customers from accessing phonescoop.com. I don't want my ISP to have control over what websites I have access to. And under the guess of "managing their network" and "prioritizing data", Verizon could throttle connect...
Of course you're absolutely right, but it goes beyond that. We have to look at this also from the side of the entrepreneur. Say you have a great idea for a start up business on the old intertubes, you get some capital together and now you're making...
The ISP is a private establishment. They have the right to operate their service as they see fit, whether you agree with it or not. The Internet is not 'public', which is why this whole thing is against the 5th amendment. The government is trying to c...

This happened with the pharmaceutical companies, and sadly I think we're starting to see this as the standard business practice among the mobile and isp companies.

Sometimes less government oversight is better, but in some cases when our government has given these companies grants and tax breaks these companies didn't use them to improve their infrastructure as the condi...

Oh how come...........

When VZN wants to sue the FCC we get a crapstorm of people bashing them. But when Metro PCS does we dont hear a peep pfft!
Because people around here hate VZW for one sole reason...it's a large capitalist corporation that employs thousands of people, connects millions, and brings in more revenue than the burger flippers and taco stuffers around here could ever dream of ha...

What I would really like to know is how a government agency abusing its authority to give itself additional power after both the courts and the Congress have smacked it down and told it 'no' could possibly be less of a threat to our pers...
I cannot disagree any more with MetroPCS's position on this any more than I do with VZW's. I voiced my concern many times on Phone Scoop's news article as well as voiced my concern to the FCC.

The carriers should not be allowed to sequester publicl...
I guess we got most of it out of our system on the Verizon topic.
