Right. Because there aren't legitimately poor families in this country. Or aren't you aware of our current economic condition?

Keep your insulting comments to yourself.

Poverty happens dude, apparently on a much larger scale than you can comprehend. Telephone communication in this day and age is as much a privilege as is driving, and so that we're clear, thats no so much a privilege as it is a necessity nowadays. without driving or BARE MINIMUM Telephone communication(250 minutes/month)your opportunities to overcome poverty are nonexistent.

Being laid off, losing ones job to no fault of their own is no joke either.
Poverty is no laughing matter either and insulting someones demographics is as lame as the person giving the insults.
Try to juggle multiple bills when trying to work more than one minimum wage job.
No one looks to live in poverty.
Those that abuse the system, they are the ones giving a bad name to those genuinely trying to advance themselves.

And that precisely is why I don't like programs like programs like this. Because of the amount oflowlifes that take advantage of them just because they are there. If you actually need welfare or any other comparible programs then great, but if you just want to have some extra money to spend on a new TV or something then you are a waste of skin. These programs should be used as a means of survival only.

I agree poverty is no joke, but neither is fraud.

cstone_ what makes you different from a person like Adolf Hitler. a waste of skin? are you serious?!

how many people do you know personally that would take advantage of this program? i bet there's not many.

there's corruption in all levels. the pennies and cents the fake poor steal from this government are bad, however, the rich are the bigger thieves.

stop whining about the poor by the way. like many of the posts before yours (the ones you did not read) are comprised of people who have the will power and desire to stay out of debt but because of unknown factors they might not be able to and programs like these ones help.

Precisely the point.
Fraud no matter how big or small, be it the wealthy or the poor committing it, it needs to be kept an eye on.
Fraud does not discriminate itself to any one demographic.
This program was made to genuinely help those in dire need.
Shame that there would be those who would take advantage of it in any fraudulent manner.
This is a great program to those that really need it.

Wow did you even read what I said? I was never trying to talk down on less fortunate people. I happen to know a lot of people who would love to and do ABUSE programs like this. I have no problem with people who NEED a hand up using programs like this. I have a problem with people that are lazy and don't want to work using programs like this and taking away from the people that need it.

Please tell me how that makes me like Hitler? Or just pull your head out of your @$$. Either is fine with me. Thanks.

Looks like belovedson overreacted somewhat.
Majority of the abusers are grandma living with her kids in the big city on EBT, medicaid, disability, being the built in baby-sitter.
She sits at the kitchen table in her moo-moo watching Oprah or sitting at the window watching everybody else outside.
