Doesn't really matter either way.
The only significant improvement in 2.3 is the built-in video calling. None of the Optimus phones have front-facing camera so they can't use that anyway.
Other than that there's the upgraded home screen/app-drawer/keyboard, which most hardcore users use a custom one anyway.

Yeah, I agree. Nothing all that exciting in 2.3, just minor refinements.

oh ok good seems like they made it some big deal ill just be happy when im updated to 2.2
And lemme guess abt the Transform
So unfair well whatever shld be used to this crap by now. Really dont care that much except for the fact that with all these constant updates 2.3 sounds like the most positive changes. Im sure the Transform will only get 2.2 so I wont hold my breath. I would have got the Optimus if Lg would have at least put a flash on the damn camera! that is a must for me now.
