U.S. Dept. of Transportation Wants to Disable Phones in Cars

Thanked a liberal today? while it is a terrible thing that someone is injured or worse due to a distracted driver.... Do we really need the government stepping further into our lives. When do people realize that legislation can't and shouldn't be done for the few or stupid......
What about On Star and the service they provide, such as contacting emergency services and such? You can't regulate stupidity but you sure can hurt the other folks trying to do the right thing.
If they can also disable noisy kids and backseat drivers, I'm all for this
Otherwise, they can shove it.
