Clearwire Achieves 90Mbps Downloads in LTE Tests
Clear will switch to LTE
And LTE will be all over the world as well.
Clearwire fail.
Side note: Sprint and Clear have lots of Spectrum that can be used for back-haul as well as fibers in the ground. On 4g everyday I have hit 9mbs. If u work for them based of the info you stated that 1/3 of the max the tower is putting out.
So when Wimax 2 comes out based on 330 mbs that would produce 110mbs real world speed that's faster then these lte trail test and real world speeds! Simply amazing! ๐
Clear is losing funding from many companies, a reason why is that the technology is fail. It will never be viable, you MIGHT see 20mbps on a mobile devices, but thats moot, ping times are atrocious, LOS issues are abound. I dont see it being useful. ever.

To add even more backbone to Clearwire and Sprint existing fibers in the ground they just partnered with Fiberlight to add more then 900 miles of high capacity optical transport fibers in the Ground. ๐ with a 2ms redundancy and 99.999% reliability

they continue to invest because they hot 330MBPS with Wimax 2 and wimax is all over the world
No, they're upgrading because the backhaul for WiMAX is identical to the backhaul for LTE. Changing out only the antenna arrays will be a challenge, but not prohibitively expensive.
Switching to LTE isn't like doing the same thing twice. It's like doing the same thing 1.5 times. Still inefficient compared to doing it right the first time, but not that bad overall.
BAM they are LTE.
The currently 4g phones they offer shouldn't suffer as the network continues its "growing pains" and adopts another new technology.
Didnt i say from jump start that "WiMax" wasnt the answer? People Jumped onto the "4G" gimmic like theres no tommorrow. (Including me) But T-mobiles HSPA+ network acually destroys "4g". Clear came across something pretty important and they are gonna ride that bad boy to the ground.
T-MOBILE KNOWS BEST NUKKA

Here another reason why I think clear is not going to drop wimax. Aside from all the Epic's and Evo they just sold that use Wimax. They now have roaming partners
