My 6th Palm Pre is already a refurb

Don't think I'll notice the difference if I were to buy a refurb phone. Sprint keeps sending me refurb replacements for my Pre and as long as you have TEP on your plan you are safe with whatever phone you get if it breaks. Hell my last 5 phones were all refurbs! All Pre's. 🙄
What's TEP?
...
After the 3rd phone, you are elegible to get another model. You just gotta ask.
...
Your phones not broken!!! The palm Pre is just a crappy phone. So suck it up and get something decent.
Most insurance claims are sent refurbs. This article is about Sprint actually selling refurbs to new customers/upgrades
...
Wow so many Pre's what could poss be wrong that you have had to have so many of them? That phone is reported to have the least probs in general of Sprint's smartphones. Mine is just about to arrive from Ebay its a refurbished one & I cant wait to get ...

Sanyo 2700?

I assume the prices listed are the prices with contract (even a BB Tour used is worth far more than $80), so is it actually correct that the Sanyo 2700 is $50? I personally don't think that phone is even worth $50 full retail.
no thats non contract price (outright), its free with contract
refurbished phones have their own retail price..u get them at a discount or for free(mostly free) if you are a new customer, and existing customer needs to buy them at the retail price, but without contract. this is because if you are eligible for the...

To clarify your outraged position on the BB Tour's worth, it's $80 to a current cust or w/out a contract, but it's 429.99 with contract for a new cust. So that is indeed the price.

Convenience

Glad that Sprint is doing this. All the other big boys do it already as stated in the other threads.
I have had cell-phones since '96 and when refurbs started, I took advantage of the discounts.
I can say I never had any real issues with Pre-Owned. Only once did I have one with a bad hinge on a flip-type.
It was readily replaced without any problem by the carrier.
People are spoiled nowadays and want everything for nothing and whine like stuck pigs when something is not perfect.
Customer Service Reps have to hear the moaning everyday from people not liking how the phone looks, feels, responds, the color, etc.,
You get what you pay for.....period 😕

Willing to bet

90% of all HTC phones on Sprint's network are already pre-owned. 🤣
Working in a repair center the only HTCs that really ever gave us a lot of problems were the Touch and the first Pro.

All the rest are user abuse. Cracked screens, ports pulled out, or phones completely smashed.
Yea ur gonna have to be a little more clear with your sarcastic baseless comments...what's your point here?? I know it's not that HTC makes crap phones cuz they arguably make the best smartphones on the planet.

Sprint Fan

They even beat the big boys prices with refurbished phones. Verizon wants $149.99 for a Droid Incredible ($50 less than the 2 year contract AFTER rebate) and they still want a two year contract.

That's just--

--a great idea. 'Refurbished' just means 'someone bought it, didn't like the looks of it, and sent it back to Sprint'.

I use a refurbished LG flip--it looked brand new to me when I received it. Works great, too.
Sprints refurbs are almost always (I've seen a few cases contrary, but only about 5 in all my time) used mainboard, and all new parts. We get TONS of new parts for instore repair so I am sure that the warehouse gets even more.
