Verizon Wireless Teases 4G Launch
It Was Inevitable...
I wish Verizon luck and a great venture. It doesn't matter if an individual chooses LTE or WiMAX. In the end, we all should enjoy the benefits of a faster internet experience.

Sprint/Clear has an edge because their Wimax is still unlimited. Where as Vzn's LTE will not be. When I had Clear I was watching a lot of Hulu, and I would use about 35gb/mo. So it'll ber interesting to see if Vzn is stingy with their data plans or not.
wonder how much i would do on 4g since i only have 3g and passed 35gb yesterday.
i love you slingbox
slingbox and websurfing on my pc is the way to go
While I love the value of Sprint and WiMAX, LTE will keep it in check.

No gentle stabs here. I have friends and family that work for VZW. Who am I to wish harm on their livelyhood?

In check how? By capping and charging up the ass? lmao. No thanks, I'll stick with Sprint and WiMAX. Verizon is scum no matter what they do. They don't have to compete so they don't and that's the problem.

did verizon touch you in your no no spot when you were a little boy?
Awwww what's wrong??? Can't handle the truth. You know I'm right so you had to resort to petty insults. It's okay though, I understand. Sorry, I don't like paying for a service that overrated, overhyped and overpriced like you do. Sprint gives me a much better deal, even with the $10 more a month for 4g. Verizon is arrogant and treats their cusstomers like battered housewives because they know they don't have the strength to leave
And no, you don't get the same service and exact same coverage.
again, coverage is the issue. And no, you don't "Get coverage wherever verizon does." especially when it comes to high speed data.
Sprint is great for a lot of people, but it's not "The same coverage/service as verizon, only cheaper."
Calling it that does a disservice to sprint because it makes it seem like their actual (native) network sucks and without roaming, they would be nothing. Thenn all someone has to point out is that most of Sprint's greatest strengths (Any mobile anytime, decent data speeds, etc) don't work while roaming and the customer is again left with a negative impression of the company.
Add to that the millions of former sprint/nextel customers who left before they improved...

I love it! I have worked for Sprint in the office for 10 years and I've gotten a real kick out of this mindless banter.
I carry the EVO and it will be about 12 months from its release date before it has any serious competition as it and the NOW Network crushes any woodby offerings and when that time comes I will be making my call to do an ESN swap and upgrade and remain on the NOW Network.
HTC manufactures what is some of the best equipment in the industry and I am positive my next device will be an HTC as my last five have been HTC
I'm not arguing that either "team" is better. I'm just pointing out that the type of trolling he's doing does more to harm sprint's brand than it can help it.

I was saying that his arguing was doing nothing positive because it was missing the point (a point you seem to know because you mentioned the PRODUCT (your phone) instead of price)

How is it trolling? The poster simply provided his opinion on the matter. All because you don't agree doesn't mean that the poster is trolling. Trolling is what someone like bluecoytoe does by intentionally getting folks riled up by making misinfofmed comments regarding Android OS and having biased favoritism towards Apple.
I'm also a Sprint customer. A...

If I lived in a city with wimax, I would have it no question, but I don't. And if it does come here, it wont be for a few years. My Brother has wimax through clear, but he recently came from sprint to verizon for his phone because his job frequently takes him places where sprint won't work.
When you're talking cellphone plans, there is never a single company/plan for everyone.

You might get it where you are, but Sprint's coverage is NOT verizon's coverage. They have several select roaming agreements, but most of these (unless you are in an alltel area) are for 1xrtt only. The only time you roam on verizon 3g is if you're roaming on an old alltel tower.
If sprint works great for you, then great, but perpetuating the lie that sprint=verizon's coverage helps no one and only enforces the stereotype of sprint as a second tier carrier.
They just need to replace their currently lobotomized marketing department with some actual talent and verizon/ATT might actually have to pay attention to them.
And LTE will keep wimax in check (and vice versa) because it will force both to continuously innovate.
