Apple doesn't give a crap about jailbreaking. It's great for them because it excuses them of having to provide warranty support. They do have an obligation to patch exploits in their OS (which is how the phone is often jailbroken)

True, it's PDF, a file-format originally created by Adobe, but the file-format specification has nothing to do with this particular security hole.
