Another 2.2 Inquiry very important

What changes will the 2.2 update bring compared to 2.1. Thanks
Also will it gives more themes and overall choices. Any input will help. Thanks everyone. And good luck to everyone with the Droid during this process.
Android 2.2 brings r-a-d-i-c-a-l-l-y improved web browser performance, and a few other features such as WiFi hotspot. I don't know how many will make it to the Droid or Evo.

I'm finding it difficult to feel sorry for you. I WISH I had a Droid Incredible. Me? I'm "pimpin'" an LG VX8100 as my phone and an XV6900 as my tethering device. I'm sure you'd LOVE to trade. 🙄

So it sounds like the rumors of the DInc getting updated this week aren't coming true.

Wonder when, then? If 2.2 exists for the Evo, it's working with Sense. C'mon, VZ, support your 'flagship' model!
The Droid X?

So what?

People that want Froyo 2.2 Already have it... Those that don't, is their choice... nice to see Verizon finally maybe, possibly trying to catch up with the rest of the Droid Users... lol
1) Most people don't want to void the warranty on their $800.00-before-subsidy cell phone.

2) Most Android users don't root their phones.

Question about the 2.2 android update

Will this update be automatic to the phone? Or will I have to go down to verizon to get it flashed like we used to have to do with the dumbphones. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Sorry if I sound ignorant this is my first experience with a smartphone thanks.
It will be automatic over the air download to your phone. you will be notified on you droid when it is avail.
If the 2.2 update is similar to how 2.1 was, then likely it will be in the early AM hours, 12:30-1:00am-ish. Your battery will have to be more than 20%, it will take approximetly 10-12 minutes. When the update is finished, your Droid will restart and ...
