Bad Solution

No one wants their phone disabled while driving. Why not focus on integrating text messaging into the bluetooth connection? Like reading text messages over the stereo and speech to text to reply to messages. That is something worthwhile.
That's exactly what Ford's SYNC software does...

It now ALSO offers the option to block messages.

Two years ago I hit a curb while texting and driving, blew my tire and bent the rim.

what a waste of time/money on this garbage development!

how about just put the cellphone in the trunk everytime you get in the car!
