What in the world???

You can't simply return a phone anymore? AT&T and Apple are refusing to refund the money you spent?

I call BS.

Thats a poor response, so you would rather turn a customer away, then fix the issue. Especially a issue they new about before the launch. Apple could have fixed the issue, by offering free covers which cost them 30-90 cents to make, but no STEVE JOBS the ALMIGHTY, tells them learn to hold your phone in a different way. People love this phone, they just want it to work.

Agreed, but its sad that it has to come to thins for apple to do anything about the issue. Seriously, its like 87% of the world is right handed, so they generally hold their phones in their left hand to keep the rand hand free. you would at least think to put it on the other side, or even provide a free rubber cover.

I agree. We do live in a litigious society. No one benefits but the trial lawyers. The Samsung Blade on Sprint had a similar issue, except that the antenna was covered by an aluminum case. (How'd that get past QC?)
What is unfortunate is the Apple response. Offer to fix the problem, apologize and take your lumps.
