This isn't news

Basically all Google services have been doing this for years. I know Google does this with every Android device, and Palm does a similar thing as well.
Android gives you the option to turn off location and background data....but does Apple?

What bout the others>

Users can opt out/block SOME third party applications.

And many others we can't block. Thanks Apple. Users really do have control over their privacy with your products.
