Apple Confirms Lost Device Is Its iPhone
I want one. NOW
I. Want. One. Now.
Can't really compare any of them to a Rolls Royce though.
Here's the kicker:
There is no one perfect phone for everyone. THAT is why I hate apple fanboys. Because it doesn't matter what the device is, who it is marketed to, or what niche it is meant to fill, they will ALWAYS compare it to the iphone and since that is their OS of choice, they will ALWAYS find some reason (no matter how petty... lol itunes syncing) for why it is superior, even if the device isn't even in the same MARKET as the iphone (like people comparing the EnV3 to the iphon...

Sprint marketed the Instinct as an iPhone killer in it's "The Instinct is the iPhone killer" commercials.
The tech blogs constantly compared the Android OS to the iPhone OS calling it an iPhone killer.
Verizon advertised the 'Droid' (Android OS) as the iPhone killer in it's "Droid does" commercials.
I can honestly say that Palm seems to be the only company to avoid advertising thier phone in any way as an iPhone killer. Effectivly proving that the ONLY way to get your phone to sell is to market it directly against the iPhone and attack attack attack.
Have you eve...

And tech bloggers are just as susceptible to marketing as anyone, and against, their comparisons mean nothing. The fact that they are calling it the iphone killer means that they think it is, largely because their audience will want to compare it, no matter how often someone might try pointing out that not
And I can't speak for the instinct, but the Droid was NOT marketed as a replacement for the Iphone, it was marketed as a COUNTER to the iphone, kinda like Chocolate V Vanilla ...

Way to Think Differently (While now following the pack)
In-house designed integrated 1ghz processor...
80gigs of storage...
software designed specifically for the hardware, and vice-versa...
If that's following the pack, count me in.
Can you provide a link to such information?
-in house designed processor...so?
-80 gigs is nice, but to borrow from Blue, it's just a "tech spec" not an innovation
-Each version of android (especially sense devices) are designed specifically for the phone they are on. This is why you can't easily port sense from one device to another from another company.
The new iPhone will share some cool specs with those phones, but will take advantage of those specs in ways they never will.
The iPhone is the standard these phones STILL measure themselves against.
Those phones don't measure themselves against it, reviewers measure them against the iphone, no matter what the companies try to say. Again, this is marketing more than quality. Just like ever tissue is called a kleenex, and every cotton swab is a qtip. If a device is a smartphone, people immeadiately ask "so it's like the iphone." not because of the actual device, but for most consumers, "like an iphone" is any smartphone, or heck, any advanced media...

The new iPhone, if as is via the leak, has normal improvements... plus a camera and maybe a noise cancellation mic.
Not exactly innovation. I know there are other phones with those features.
It's a nice phone still, but I'd rather support a phone system that's more about being open.
Google > Apple.
but to say it > all?
Hardly.
The competition HAS caught up, and in many ways surpassed Apple.
