Really?

I don't see any reason to do this. The phone OS market needs to get smaller, not bigger. I mean, do we need Win Mob 7, Android, Apple OS, Symbian, Meego, WebOS, Bada, and now this? It's just too diluted.
I'm all for just a nice 4 contender ring personally.
I agree, but it is nice that frinkin Microsoft doesn't rule the mobile OS world like they do the desktop OS world, that's for sure!!!
...
Here's what it'll come down to:

iPhone OS
Android
WinMob7 (I don't see it getting widespread adoption though, but judgement comes later) .
RIM (mostly a legacy OS at this point.)

The problem is Android is near a total train wreck development ...

HTC + Palm = Babies I would kidnap

Seriously. I like kids, they are cute but I have never desired to kidnap one.

If HTC and Palm got married and had little babies I would steal them.

No question about it.
It is a very real possibility HTC has made many Palm devices not to long ago. So some relationship does exist. But it wouldn't be a marriage, more like a takeover.
