The carriers are not going to like this, so I doubt that we ever see this on the market.
actually, if they move away from "unlimited packadges" to usage based pricing like they are planning for LTE, I really don't see why carriers wouldn't adopt this technology. Data is data

Interesting

This will most likely prove to be a very interesting technology. The question is will carriers lock these SIM modules out in their handsets to prevent the obvious widespread abuse that will likely insue.
It would probably be easier just to change the shape of those particular SIMs and then make devices that will only read those new SIMs to prevent abuse. Either way, this sounds too cool.
