How humble!

Way to jump on the bandwagon after the fact VZW. After two of the smaller networks in the USA gives calls to Haiti free for a week then they say oh we look really bad still charging for this huh!?

Its just like their unlimited plan, it took them a whole 4 months to jump on the T-Mobile bandwagon just like they did with the my-faves except that took them 2 years. No copying there. 🙄
Verizon did wait, true. However, they're making this change RETROACTIVE. This will take care of the "waiting issue". And incidentally, this is a GOOD thing. ATT has yet to do this. I would say helping the people in Haiti is a good kind of copying...

yeah, because verizon really cares what those little piss ant wannabe carriers do (who are MVNO's btw). Did those other companies say you can call to AND from Haiti for free? including landline? Oh yeah, thats right, you can't use their service when y...

If Verizon doesn't acquire Alltel they probably never would have offered Friends and Family. I would not be surprised to see them discontinue it down the road.

Hmm.... now it will be interesting to see how long before ATT mirrors this one. 👀
Companies staying competitive with each other isn't something new at all... Verizon got their friends and family after Alltel. Hell, I think T-Mobile had it before Verizon too. Nextel had unlimited calling for $99 before Verizon did. AT&T just doesn't...

All AT&T is doing is once customers receive their bill, they may call AT&T to receive a bill credit for up to 60 minutes of calls.
Your exactly right Waldorfsalad! Some colleagues of mine were joking around with some AT&T competitors about how they always follow suit within hours of a major wireless change by Verizon. Even they agreed its annoying and embarrassing.

It goes to ...

Better late than never...

Um, does cellular even work in Haiti right now much less VZW? 😕
they are saying Calling TOO haiti is waived. So if you are calling here and calling over there, there is no additional cost. On top of that, they are making the change retro-active

Like the others said, VZW wireless and wireline calling to Haiti will be waived. But for the record, Verizon does have global phones, so if there are any VZW customers in Haiti I'm sure they'll have free calling too...once the networks are running ag...
