Decisions on rollout cities...

I almost always scratch my head when a read an article updating the rollout in another city of 3G (T-Mobile) and 4G (Sprint) service. I wonder how they decide which cities get added service when. Abilene and Amarillo, Texas???!!!

Michigan....

Even though I don't have T-Mobile, it would really be nice to see them do some expansion here in Michigan. There's a noticeable gap in their 3G coverage by not covering the Grand Rapids market (second biggest in Michigan). If they'd expand their 2G footprint a little bit more, maybe they'd be a little more viable in Michigan too......
I agree! I'm a TMO customer in the Grand Rapids metro area and I'm tired of waiting for them to give us 3G here. My contract is up in 3-4 months and I'm leaving. Not having 3G coverage for second largest city in Mich is just plain stupid.

why even bother?

Ok Tmobile is behind on 3g. Now when the world is moving to 4g theyre just now expanding their 3g footprint? Why not just wait and go strait to lte? Im just saying. They offered 2g when 3g was available. Now i see them offering 3g when 4g is avail. exactly why theyre trash mobile. smh.
except that in 2010 tmobile will upgrade to HSPA+ at 21 mbs, not 4g, but it will catch them up.
and tmobile 3g is faster and has a more expanded footprint when compared to att in alot of markets.

Is T-mobile Just Prepping to Sell Their Network

There has been a rumor that t-mobile is prepping to sell their network in the near future . I wonder if this rushed 3g network is a last minute play to make the company more sellable. Nttdocomo was supposed to enter the us market I think in 2010 and it makes me wonder if this is part of that plan ? Or it could just be rumors ?
