Correct me if I'm wrong but...

This whole "legal" battle between AT&T and VZ its kinda like if McDonald's went after Burger King for their double cheese burger adds comparing the size of their double cheese burgers to McD's double cheese burgers 🀀 or even if Microsoft 😈 went after Apple 😈 for the PC VS MAC commercials. Those companies dont have time for all that when they are just standing on their own two feet just fine. Shouldn't AT&T do the same. (not an AT&T hater or VZ lover by any means also πŸ™‚ )What do yall think πŸ™„
I totally agree. The adds are the exact same idea. I don't know why AT&T thinks they are any different.

at@t 3g is a joke!!

i have been with both sprint and at@t and currently I'm with verizon and without a doubt verizon has the best coverage!! i spend alot of my time in the mountain areas and i always have coverage with verizon but rarely had coverage with sprint or at@t. 😁
THANK YOU! Everytime I go out of town with my family or friends, or if they tell me stories about how they go out of town, the only person that does have coverage no matter where they go is the person that has Verizon.

ok wow

If you actually go to the link to their page it states that they sell the most popular smartphones in the cell phone industry. Wow. I didn't know that the iPhone was more then one phone. That is the only phone that is going through a frenzy, yet verizonwireless came out with the enV Touch, blackberry storm 1 & 2, droid, droid eris, and many more throughout the whole time they are still with the iPhone. Verizon has different brands, not just one.

COME ON AT&T!!!

You work the legal system like Nebraska's Offense, always shooting yourself in the foot .... I don't like either VZW or AT&T, but I have to side with VZW on this one. regardless of who's 3G is "faster" in lab tests, EVDO is more consistent, and is in more places.
This is so dumb of a move, even Sprint wouldn't pull it.

Verizon Is Also Lying About Sprint's 3G Coverage

But Sprint is in no position to do anything about for obvious reasons.
Sprint also roams on to a lot of VZW's 3G. bring the facts......

How is Verizon lying about Sprint's coverage? I haven't seen or heard any commercials or comments against Sprint.

I could be wrong, but I believe that the 3g coverage Sprint portrays on their map on their website includes their roaming agreements. Verizon's claims right now are based on the carriers own native network, minus roaming agreements.

Verizon needs to stop advertising their network is better when it isn't...

Despite this "OMG AT&T's Network is terrible," as someone with both an AT&T and Verizon account I can verify, especially in the southeastern USA that AT&T's network coverage is better than Verizon's. I haven't experienced any network issues beyond isolated issues with AT&T either.

By contrast, Verizon's network (for example, if you travel from Atlanta to Charlotte) drops out constantly and cannot provide reliable or constant data service.

Verizon also is not providing 3G in many parts of Northern GA that they are claiming. In areas such as Greenville, Verizon's network struggles indoors where AT&T manages just fine.

AT&T needs to make improvements on their network, but so does Verizon Wireless.

VZW is making false statements abou...

Something to consider.

For those of you that are having bad service at locations you most use your phone, there is something you can do.

There is something called a network incident tracker that all At&t stores can submit regarding issues about the network. As a consumer, you can walk into an At&t store and ask to submit a network incident report for your address saying that you have no coverage, drop call, etc. Unfortunately, it will take about ten reports a day for about a week before At&t will actually send technicians out to see what they can do to improve the service for that particular address/neighborhood. My regional manager had issues with drop calls and he did this and now he has 5 bars all the time at his home.

I know that this is stupid and...

I have both

I have a contract Verizon phone (Blackberry Tour) and a contract AT&T Phone (Samsung Eternity). The closest 3G for AT&T is 40 miles away in the twin Cities. I live in southern Minnesota. In a small town. But there is still EVDO here, and the speeds are amazing.

Everyone around here thinks AT&T sucks because they have terrible service down here. I just know its a bad spot for the network.

I like both networks, but appreciate that Verizon has the 3G option everywhere I go, including the 30,000 person town i live in.

Is it funny or pathetic ATT took down their 3G map?

I am fully prepared for att fanboys to object to this but, all the commercials are comparing is 3g coverage. I think its pretty pathetic that ATT shows their "data" area now to try to trick dumb people into thinking verizon is lying! I know for a fact that they used to have a seperate map showing 3g coverage, i cant seem to find it now! There is a big difference between data coverage and 3g! No, im not a verizon lover either, i have sprint. I just like the way verizon called att out on its pathetic 3g coverage and now instead of saying, we'll fix it, they are manipulating there coverage maps to try to make verizon look bad, not cool!
It isn't their 'Mobile TV' map? 🀨
...
Well... I expect them to manipulate things to put themselves in the best light. If they took their 3G map down, I wonder if Verizon will remove them from their stores? I was in a Verizon store yesterday and there were both maps.
What do you mean took it down..
Go to http://www.wireless.att.com/coverageviewer
zoom into any level and select '3G coverage' on voice.

3G is voice and data.

Even their site does nothing to help their cause

When you read this letter they have a link on the right for the coverage map. When you click the map the only way to get 3G coverage is to click the link on the bottom that says "View 3G/Mobile Broadband coverage (in select areas). Check out the "select areas" http://www.wireless.att.com/coverageviewer/po pUp_3g.jsp.

Apparently 75% of the population only live in a few cities. Look at Massachusetts - 6 cities; Rhode Island - 1; They have as many cities covered in Alaska as they do in Delaware.

I think this list just validates those silly maps with specks of blue on them.
The one city in Alaska was probably the size of Delaware. Verizon has a very impressive looking map, but who cares about coverage where nobody is. AT&T and T-Mobile have maps that are far less impressive to look at, but you need to realize that the ...

Whats not to understand?

I understand that at$t has alot more to know about its coverage breakdown, Its at&t's job to make a counter commercial defending and including all this information not Verizons. But thats not what their commercial is saying. their commercial never denies or sheds light on at&t covers 75% of the nation with 3G.

AT&T can't force their competitor that Their commercial also say "But AT&T covers 75% of the population with 3G."

And no the commercial is not misleading. To everyone watching the commercial, you look at the map while its airing and you look where you live, where you visit and you see if you do or do not have 3G coverage, Its that simple!

So for those that look and see that att&t does not have 3G coverage and horizon does then...

AT&T is a sissy nanny

I wish AT&T would quit crying over Verizon showing proof that they have better 3G coverage. Verizon clearly has more 3G coverage and there is nothing misleading about that.

I think AT&T has nothing to brag about their network anymore like: they don't have the largest network, they don't have the best coverage, they don't have the largest 3G network, and even though their 3G speed is just a little faster it's not reliable....hmm the only thing they have to brag about is the iPhone, but now that the Droid is out on Verizon even the iPhone isn't that great.

The Map is what made me switch

Before the commercial came out I was on Verizons website and I saw their high speed coverage and then looked at AT&Ts. I was with AT&T since 2001 and its a shame that the coutry areas get ignored. I live in SC and only Columbia and Myrtle Beach gets 3g. Well not only but those places are the closest to me.

Anyway I sat beside my brother with our WM phones and we both downloaded something from Youtube. His streamed seamlessly (Verizon) while mine kept stopping to buffer(AT&T). I am a data heavy user and if I am going to pay all that money I might as well have the best service and speeds. The map says it all. There is no way you can refute it. Edge speeds was ok, but its like dial up compared to what I am getting now. And this is...
