New Every 2 bot honored

Just a word of warning...if you have a "New Every 2" credit coming to you through Verizon, Best Buy does not honor that. In my case, it was a $100 credit in addition to the rebate, so I saved $100 through buying the Droid at a Verizon Wireless store after trying to buy it at Best Buy.

Why put it on Sprint? Thats like having the I-Phone on ATT. A nice phone on a ****ty network 😲

You realize you'll have to sign up for a 2 year Verizon contract to get that price, don't you?

Best Buy s^^ks

Yes I too have pre order the phone from best buy, but here the catch they dont know whether they will be able to fill the pre orders that they have, i am third on the list, and the woman told me if they only get 2 phones that i would have to wait, they pre order by selling you a gift card with your deposit and when i said well i want it refunded since i thought my chances will be better at my verizon store at 6 am they said they dont give refunds on gift cards, what a rip off. Best buy sucks, i will never do business with them again.

Best Buy is NOT offering this device for pre-sale, ...

... according to the Best Buy associate I just spoke to in Boston. He said Verizon Wireless canceled this early purchase option. Has anyone heard anything different?
do u know if they honor the new every 2 discount as well? and would i get it on nov. 6th? well i live outside of boston and i am going to see if i can order one tomorrow.
...
No, this is not correct. They are offering it. A $50 fully refundable deposit. They should have the sheets in-store.
i just put a down payt on my droid at the local best buy in clearwater florida.

Best Buy

You can get any phone at Best Buy Mobile, with no mail in rebates. Our staff does not work on commission, and can activate your phone in store. We also offer our own protection plan, with no deductibles,so you don't have to deal with the insurance mess. Why go anywhere else?
Agreed. I hate mail in rebates. What's the point? Hoping a certain percentage of customers will not bother to send it in?
...
Reasons to go anywhere else

1. Best Buy employees do not work on commission, so they could care less if you return the phone.

2. Because you do not care about the customers knowledge, you do not help them setup/understand/ or answer any question...

I bet direct reps and managers do not appreciate this. Between VZW offering instant rebates for online purchases and an indirect basically doing the same...they'll be out on the street corners with signs "Will work for food."
Because you guys don't know ****.
No Mail-In Rebates are awesome. But your black tie protection is not what's its crack up to be. It does not cover lost or stolen. Smartphones can take up to 30 days to be repair. Most times it takes longer. The loaner they provide is not a comparable ...

I'd want to hold the phone and actually get a feel for it before buying it so pre-ordering it at Best Buy is not a good option for me. But I might look into buying it through Best Buy Mobile after I decide if the phone is practical for my needs. Other...
