Jitterbug Hops Over to Verizon Wireless

In short what does this mean?

Being a retailer of Jitterbug - Did VZW buy Jitterbug, or is it a quazi merger in some territories ???? Just don't understand ???
Perhaps it's like the old Sprint/Virgin Mobile deal. Could we get some clarification here? 😕

confused.

I thought Jitterbug was already using Verizon. Is this considered an extended roaming agreement? Were they using multiple networks before? Is this a joint partnership or is it an aquistion? If it is either of the last two, wouldn't an FCC approval be needed?
So, Jitterbug has always had multiple roaming agreements with several CDMA providers to get a national footprint, including both Sprint and Verizon. What this announcement meants is that Jitterbug will primarily use just Verizon's network from now on ...

Verb usage

Ideally, wouldn't be "Jumps & Jives" over to Verizon? I mean, they'd be more contemporary with the Jitterbug, as opposed to the relatively more recent "hop".

All - The Jitterbug people are based on the west coast and aren't answering their phones yet. Working to get more details from them and will update shortly.
