Ok so I changed my mind should have never switched. Not worth the hassle

Its probably best to see how this service plays out in the long run. As the phones are really basic. Didnt realize how much id miss my verizon phone with the better camera etc. Also they put me on the wrong plan. God hope you dont have to call as you will not get anyone in the us of course that sounds like they know much. And its hard to swap phones with them as your time is tied to the phone etc. So ya back to my contract which id rather pay a little bit more for. You really do get what ya pay for.
I called this last week. They should have came out with a quality $99 qwerty phone with this plan. Phones are just as important as price. What good is unlimited minutes, text, web if you can't enjoy it.

You will not be the last person to bail beca...

This will be hard to match

All I know is this is def the best deal going now with great coverage. I just dropped verizon worth it in the long run. And they already ported my number and had me up and running within an hour. For those of us that text and talk at this price with this coverage cant be beat. Not everyone needs an I phone and if ya want better pics use a dig camera they will be comming out with more phones as well. But I would def reccomend. Way better then boost service etc which is horrible!
This won't be that hard to match. It is great when you are in cities and highways. if you live in rural areas, the coverage falls off quickly.

You're not using all of verizon towers, just the ones Verizon sold roaming rights to Tracfone for.

MVNO using VZW?

I thought Tracfone used GSM as well, according to the Phonescoop Tracfone webpage.

Does this mean that this new plan is only for the Tracfone/CDMA service areas?
Correct, they also use T-Mobile and AT&T phones/network for their other brands (Tracfone/Net10), but for Straight Talk is appears they are only using Verizon phones and network, as seen by their phone selection and coverage map on their www.straightta...

Unlimited talk, data and messaging with a Razr....*pukes*

What a wonderful plan on such a terrible device. All the 80+ yr olds in the World can enter the 21st century on a ten year old device.
Not only that but when did TRACFONE start using vzw...for the longest time they were using cingular/at&t. 😕

If I wasn't on Verizon for many years and needed to get a cell phone and plan today, I would definitely consider it. Beats Metro PCS, Virgin, Boost, and other's...

Does not appear that this service is available everywhere....only in select WalMarts

The service is on the second tier of the Verizon service. Look at Verizons coverage map and then check out Straight Talks. The coverage is spotty at best outside of large cities. When you prepay for cheap service, that

I'm thinking very seriously of...

switching to an MVNO. If they can offer this at that price, it only proves we all pay way too much through traditional carriers.
Until those carriers increase the rates that the companies need to pay to access their networks.

MVNO's have fewer sunk costs (and typically horrible customer service) than traditional carriers, however, they are totally at the mercy of these carri...

MVNOs tend to fail, especially when they try to match the per-minute rates of real carriers, let alone be cheaper.

TracFone is the longest-running MVNO, and their normal strategy is not cheap unlimited service, it is slightly expensive service for ...

What kind of Internet are they offering? Not that it matters...

I am not a TracFone guru, but I thought their definition of "mobile web" was the 1999 kind of mobile web which only allows you to see the carrier's little playground.

But even if this is true full-service Internet access, browsing the Internet on a V3 is going to byte so much that you would never dream of using 30 megabytes. The Openwave browser itself barely works, the phone's processor is so slow that even a good browser wouldn't help, and the data speed is so slow that fixing the other two problems still might not raise it to the level of acceptability.

As long as TracFone doesn't run out of V3's, this plan is as generous as giving someone a mo-ped and offering to pay for any speeding tickets they get on the freeway.

Yeah!
You are the best
None of us would get into trouble then....... Would we? 😁
I thought mopeds are not freeway-legal...
