Not Mac/Linux compatible at this time...

According to their FAQ, the software needed to check your usage is Win only. Hopefully it'll crossover to the other operating systems soon.

I'd Use This If...

The modem were a little cheaper.

I don't normally need a wireless modem, as I find WiFi sufficient. However, there are times when I'm on vacation, renting a house or condo, where there's no broadband available.

I'd use this at those times and just purchase data when I need them.
If you are a heavy data user and Cricket is in your area, they may be a better option. You can get their modem for much less, and their "unlimited" cap is 5gb (if I recall correctly). I believe they cost $40/month, with no contract.
