Sprint's Hesse: Pre Shortages Likely
Oh jeez, you're going to sell all 10 of them?
So that means all of those loyal Sprint customers who haven't ditched Sprint for their savior device now get to deal with shortages for the ONE promising phone on their network.
Second off, unless he missed the memo, Apple's kinda likely announcing a new iPhone in about 3 days from the Pre's release date, so we're talking about a phone that's already one generation obsolete. So you're telling me Sprint's supply chain management is so poor they can't keep a remotel...

I mean seriously. First off, the only people who are going to run out and buy a Pre are people who currently are held hostage on Sprint's network, which isn't a lot. Nobody's going to drop AT&T/Verizon/TMo for a ne

So What!
This is one heck of a nice phone, and I wish Palm and Sprint well with it. I also have no intention of getting it nor using Sprint. But I also feel, the more good stuff coming out and the more Sprint is a viable, the better it is for all of us. So I say, Good Luck to both!
that's all i can say for now..
It's already got a lot of attention
Tech sites are already raving about it, and word-of-mouth is spreading like wild fire.
A lot of people didn't think the Blackberry Storm woudln't be a smash (I'm a BB fan and I didn't like it) but it did sell a million very quickly and had a pretty big line.
Despite lack of advertising (which The Pre showed up in their lastest commercial)I think the phone will be smashing success.
We already have people lining up asking if we are gonna carry it.
