get rid of sim cards

I wish they would get rid of sim cards, that would just about stop the massive world wide theft of gsm phones. If one of my customers has a Sprint or Verizon phone stolen, I call it in and that phone is then dead, good for parts only or by using gps the carrier can tell me where the phone is if it is on. If my at&t or T-Mobile customer has their phone stolen, the thief has a new phone and the customer is out of luck. I think with todays technology they could come up with a better way to allow multi-network multi-technology use without having to remove a sim card, maybe with just an access code and your numbers could be kept on a micro sd. Blackberry has some nice multi-network phones..just a thought..
that is actually not true, if a T-Mobile or AT&T customer loses a phone or its stolen the sim can be killed remotely you do not need to remove the sim from the phone to stop them from using minutes on their account.

i hope they're not trying to phase out sim slot. it's very small to bother them so i think they should just leave sim and its slot alone....

For example, the t-mobile cameo could have a built in sim card that is small...
