And here it is

Good news for all alltel customers, yet...confusing because i have no idea what to do. With little to no information about the merger to me from alltel, i find it to be quite bad business.
I wouldn't worry about it too much, it's only been a few minutes since it closed. It's not as if all Alltel customer will have to replace their phones and have the rebranding done by midnight.

There are still 105 markets that Verizon *must* divest...
(continues)
VERIZON is Bad business.. ya think maybe trying to get a network outside the US would be its FIRST priority...
...
Hence why another company bought them out. 😲
my bf is on alltel, when will i be able to text him (i have unlimited to vzn only)
I live in SD

when will it be complete?

don't freak out on me, I know nothing about the process, I'm just a teenager.
My boyfriend is on Alltel and has unlimited exting.
I'm on Verizon and have unlimited texting to verizon customers and 250 texts to other companies.
My bf updated his 2 year contract summer of 2008.
ALL I WANT TO KNOW IS WHEN HE WILL OFFICIALLY BE ON VERIZON SO I CAN TEXT HIM!
(btw i live in sioux falls, SD)

verizon bigger not good

look verizon is not that good what is so great about them?the fact that there phones are ages behind other carriers? there stupid comercials which are lies because there are ALOT of dead zones and verizons network is more likly to be dropped than tmobile or at&t because, verizon cannot switch networks like tmobile can which prevents dead zones. WOW i could go on and on here but ill let all you verizon cutomers find out for yourselfs.
constant entertainment on phonescoop 🤣

Good or not good, it's a fact of life so deal with it 😁
Maybe in urban areas, but in SD and NE, there's no contest (well, there's no TMob either). It's not just Verizon's better than TMobile, it's that CDMA carriers (USC, VZW, Alltel) do much better in terms of coverage than GSM carriers.
...
A lot of Verizon fanboy's are absolute crackheads of Verizon and allow themseleves to be brainwashed by those "network" advertisements.

Obviously AT&T has well over 70m customers, they're network can't be that bad.

chad will be just fine.

He'll still be around, he'll just have to invest in a pair of horn rimmed glasses. 😁

US Cellular is going to make out like a bandit

Or whatever carrier picks up VZW's divestures. You could just about make a whole other carrier out of those markets.
I agree! This is going to be another great year in the wireless industry.
...
rumor mill:

US Cellular will make a huge play for the divested markets and are going to use that and the spectrum holdings to open new markets over the next two years.
