This can be done with a program called "WMWiFi Router", you can download it at wmwifirouter.com. I use it with the htc fuze and have used it with the htc tilt, it works very well for sharing your cellular data plan with another wifi device!
A Ripoff of CradlePoint's Portable Hotspot PHS 300
Cradlepoint already has a devices thats slightly bigger than a deck of cards and has a rechargeable battery. Its a portable wifi EVDO/EDGE router. Just connect a USB modem and BAM!! You got a portable hotspot.

Difference is you pay for just one USB modem service from Verizon, ATT, etc. I am guessing this Novatel device will cost more per month direct from the carrier. BLAHHH!

At first I thought the same thing. But it seems definitely different. It mixes the USB modem and PHS 300 together in one package. One less device to carry around and if it is carrier specific it should be preconfigured so no need to have a PC in order...
