Qualcomm Releases BREW SDK

Doubtful...

I think Verizon is the only carrier in the US that uses Brew and they're very restrictive on what applications they permit on "their" phones. So basically any application that doesn't make them money or competes with anything they sell, they won't allow.
Actually, I believe that about all U.S. CDMA carriers use BREW, the main exception being Sprint. I don't know of any other U.S. CDMA carrier who uses Java.
Actually I don't think that the SDK is going to be the issue here. The SDK has been available for a long time for personal use. The problem is that in order to get your Apps BREW certified (wich is required), you will need to have a Verisign certifi...

Yeah. Its really too bad.

Its really just another instance of US cell carriers being way overrestrictive of thier phones.
