Questions About the Delv
I just got this phone used from ebay and I had a few questions the user manual can't answer for me.
How do I change the name of the phone? Like, when i bluetooth it, it comes up with the name "Christy", how do I change that?
Also, why i sthe phone not seeing the pictures that are on my SD Card? I put my card in my other phone and everything comes up. But when I put the card in the Delve, it doesn't see them.
How can I fix these problems?

ringers via email?
I just ordered my delve haven't gotten it yet, I didn't order the data cable but will if I need to. I had a pantech ocean before this and was able to create my own ringtones, send them to an email address and then from the phone check and download the ringers from my inbox... got really used to doing it this way and was wondering if I could do it like that for this phone as well.
I assume you would be able to do that so long as you are able to access your email on the phone. I'm really sorry but why would you go through all that trouble, if your using your computer to edit your mp3s why would you not just plug the phone in an...

Delve Ringtones and Games
Considering it has been confirmed that the Delve from US Cellular supports myxer.com for ring tones my question is does it support the games from myxer.com Plz respond!

Does it support real music ring tones?
Does the delve support real music ring tones? It said only polyphonic on the info page.
yes, full mp3 support
the us cellular one comes with data cable... plug into your cpu and with a memory card you can drag and drop music to and from or ringtones. We are also compatable with myxer.com.....

How often does the Delve log into check for POP3 emails?
I was told the Delve has push, but after testing the demo in the store I know that it doesn't...at least not with Yahoo mail. So how often does it check for new messages?

adding music.
How does one add music to this phone. Do i need to get a special software or something. I've tried again and again.
you can use the USB cable for any kind of file transfer to delve(with SD memory card).
you just need USB cable, SD memory card, samsung usb driver.

How to download full movies on delve( If possible)
I have a couple of digitally copied movies and was wondering how to put them in the delve..if possible.. any ideas..thanks
you can put them on a memory card but depending on how big you movie files will justify what card you go with. the delve holds up to an 8gb and if you are planning on putting full movies on it i would definatly go with the 8gb

Delve Pic
Amazing that phonescoop has Alltel pic instead of USCC pic of the Delve. Even though that USCC has the phone out first. I wish they would put USCC pic on instead of Alltel.
👿
Why do you even care? I mean, they are the same phone. 😛 lol
the owner of phonescoop has a hatered for us cellular...he always post late their phones and never gives credit where its deserved.
Samsung and Alltel put out a joint press release with photos and specs a full five days before US Cellular would even officially admit it existed. They still haven't put out any PR that I know of, they just quietly started selling it.
It's n...

Dude... you were whining about this kinda crap last week too. Get over it. No one cares about USCC. They are a crap carrier that isn't even national.
Oh... and T-Mo just started selling the Behold... which crushes this phone with it's 5MP camera alone.

Adding contact fields
I just got a new Delve from USCC and think it's almost perfect. I had an iPhone for a quicky but did not want to switch to Att for a variety of reasons. Anyway, my question is...can additional fields be added to the contact database? I really need the address fields common to PIM databases. It would be really cool if the address fields could interact with the turn-by-turn GPS features of the phone, but just having that data would be fine.

User Uploaded Vidoes
Will this phone play back user uploaded videos? I have a lot of digital movie copies I would like to find a phone I can play them on!
According to the manual available on Samsung's web site(not yet at USCell's the last time I checked), the phone supports 3gv and mp4 videos for playback. So, as long as your video is in one of those formats, you should be fine...

I have pictures and videos on my mini SD memory card from when I had it in my other phone and I want them on this phone, but when I put it in my delve it says there is no items saved on my card but im sure there is, can anyone help please??
the card has to be formatted to use in the delve so save everything that you have on you memory card to the computer and then format the card and then put all your stuff back onto the card i had to do the same thing.

EE/Data Programming Instructions
On previous Samsung models, to access the EE/Data programming we would use a pathway like
"Power phone on and press [Menu] (4) *
Enter (SPC) Sublock Code or 000000
Press (14) PPP User ID; and press [OK] enter your (MSID@uscc.net)
Press (15) PPP PWD; and press [OK] enter MSID
Press [END]".
On the Devle, the dialing menu cannot be access from within the menu, so obviously these instructions don't work.
Since Sprint's Samsung Instinct is visually similar, I tried the Instict's data programming instructions,
"##DATA#"
to no avail. I've spoken with Samsung's level 3 support, and still haven't been able to get correct data instructions for this model. Has anyone discovered this information?

Verizon?
Anyone know if this phone will come to Verizon? Or, maybe a similar phone by samsung?
probably not the exact phone. i heard a rumor that verizon will be picking up the iphone, but that is just a rumor. i wouldnt be surprised if the carry the instinct or something equivalent to it in the near future.

Ascending Ringtone?
I am a US Cellular customer and I just recently bought the delve. I love everything about the phone except when the phone rings because the ringtone is ascending. Ive tried everything I know to disable that feature but have had no luck. Does anyone know how to disable the ascending ringtone feature and just keep the ringer volume at a constant level? The ascending ringtone really drives me crazy.
Hey Randall!
congrats on buying the Delve, it's really a great phone.
unfortunately, no, there is no way to turn off the ascending ring tone. i'm sorry you percieve this as an annoyance, but the design of this feature really did have yo in...
