99% of cellphones comes with GPS chip! who cares!
Verizon cripples gps on blackberries unless you pay them extra for the service. So this is pretty good news.

Cell tower GPS

Cell tower triangulation is already pretty accurate. Based on what I've seen of iPhone wifi gps, it's more accurate than that.

iPhone and iPod touch have already had this for a while...

And deep within the G1/Android settings, it mentions using Wi-Fi to determine location.

its never worked on my phone, so will it work now? and do i need to download somthing to get it to work
