They are just north of us, this now marks 3 carriers including Verizon in North America that will beat AT&T to LTE with a 2010 launch. With AT&T showing no ambition at all to launch LTE before 2012 I'm starting to wonder if AT&T is going to be to LTE what T-Mobild was to 3G, last.
They might change their mind. Besides, those carriers will not have full LTE coverage in their countries by 2010, just trials.
Sure, ATT says they don't need it, but we'll see.
Another nail in the coffin of Sprint's Wimax fantasy
What is Sprint going to do? Make Wimax phones that also run on LTE? Their whole strategy, and company, is doomed.
While WiMAX looks like a phone technology, what if they use it as a mobile broadband service to computers? Think of it like competition to Cable, DSL, and Dialup.
