Q9M and detecting media card

I have a new (reconditioned) q9m that doesn't seem to detect the media card. I put it in the micro sd adapter, insert in phone, get a message "do you want to format this storage card..." when I select "yes" it brings up another message "this storage card cannot be formatted". I've tried a few different cards - same. Tech support at Verizon and Motorola are no help! Ideas?

Contacts

can this phone up to 1400 or more contacts or does it just depend on the rest of the memory for the phone and how it is used??

thanks!

Q9c Battery Drains when No Service

I got the Motorola Q9C this week and I'm noticing that while I'm at work, I have very intermittent service at best. I am noticing that while at work, my phone's battery dies very quickly. In the morning it's fully charged and by the end of a 9 hour day my phone has died. Any recommendations on how to stop this from happening?
I think you have to shut it off once and a while. If you leave it charging all the time the battery drains quicker.....I think....

software-recurring alarm

I have a Windows Mobile Moto Q9C and am looking for software that will set off an alarm every 3 hours letting me stop and start it (Friday afternoon to Sunday/Monday typically). Its going to wake me up so I need to be able to turn it off and it go off 3 hours later without a reset (in case I’m groggy).

I want to set a start date/time and end date/time and have it go off every 3 hours. Thanks.

Lime Q for Verizon

I know it's a stupid request, but I really really want the lime phone from Alltel for my Verizon phone. I understand the phone industry fairly well (I worked for At&t for four years as a warranty exchange rep) and I'm certain it probably isn't possible; however, a girl can wish right?

I know they are merging (I noticed Alltel is now included in the m2m)...does this mean I should hold out for some of their phones too? Does anyone know if that aspect of the merger will happen soon?

An new Q on the horizon?

I just recently switched from the Qm to the Omnia, I was curious if there may be a new Q set to release. I would switch back to a new Q in a heart beat. Thanks

Appforge 4.0

I need appforge booster 4.0 to run a program.

The website it told me to go to has been bought out and has no mention of the booster program.

Anyone know where to get it for the Q9C? Ive downloaded a bunch of different versions and they all come back as not being intended for this device. Any help would be appreciated.

GPS Question

I know the GPS is locked on this vzw version phone unless you have VZ navigator, my questions are these:

1. VZ Nav is one monthly price, right? Not per minute of navigation? I'm looking at this phone w/o the data plan (or pay as you go since I only plan on popping online here and there to check email using WiFi). Other times when wifi is not available would be so few and far between that accessing the 'net at pay-as-you-go rates would be more cost effective than a data plan anyway. I don't think I'd use more than $30/month in data, really.

2. Should somebody come up w/the hack to get the GPS to work w/Google maps, as it does on the Sprint network, how does that work? Would you then need a data plan to access Google maps? (obviou...

Q9c with WM 6.1

A couple weeks ago, I replaced my Q9m with a Q9c. May not make sense to some, however the main reason for changing was the color. I couldn't stand the red case and the red numerical buttons were more difficult to see.

The Q9c works perfect. I tend to lean towards Windows Mobile devices due to their tight integration with Outlook/Exchange. For some reason, the Q9c battery seems to last a lot longer. With my Q9m, normal usage and using Activesync all day, by the end of the day, the battery was dead. With the Q9c, I typically have 50% or greater battery left by the end of the day. Not sure why this is, but it makes me very happy. Maybe its related to WM 6.1.

I upgraded the Q9c to WM 6.1 last week and its definitely an improvemen...

Already had the update for 3 mo.'s on Sprint's network and HIGHLY recommend it.

Threaded sms, some great new views, increased stability, and a little bit better battery life. I give the update two thumbs up.
