Smartphone Package?

Do you have to have a smartphone plan to use this phone? My daughter wants a touch phone and I don't want to pay for a smart phone package.

How Can I Respond To Emails?

I have the $9.99 data package and at this point I am wondering what it is good for. I can't use google maps and I can't seem to send emails or can I? If I go on my bank page can I do anything other then check it? Getting very frustrated and thinking of canceling it. Will the FM radio work without it?

Not Able To Use Google Maps

I was told I can't get directions from Google Maps on this phone. Can I get to Mapquest? I have limited Internet (25 mb)and I already used up some trying to get goolge maps. No one ever told me I would not have access to certain sites. Verizon said the phone is not equipped to download all the info on google maps. Is there any program I can use other then downloading VZ Navigator? I just need it for local directions once in a while.
I can get to mapquest and then if I try to get directions it I get insufficient memory message.

Mobile Web Browser Favorites?

Is there any way to keep the favorites on the phone rather than on the web? Every time we add a favorite, it makes us go to some verizon web page to add the favorite there! HOW FRUSTRATING!

Dear low battery reminder,

I was happy the first time you informed me that my battery was low. The second time was a friendly tap on the shoulder reminding me. By the third time I had already come to terms with the fact that my battery was low and I had already formed a plan of attack to fix that. The 4th, ๐Ÿคจ 5th, ๐Ÿ˜• 6th, ๐Ÿ˜ก 7th ๐Ÿ‘€ , etc. ๐Ÿ‘ฟ times that you reminded me just made me want to throw you against something hard! ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿคญ ๐Ÿคญ

how to make songs down loaded from pc to set as ring tone

please help trying to set ringtone song to my phone
I struggled with this. I bought my LG 8575 (Chocolate touch)from Alltel who doesn't allow custom ringtones. But it is possible. First, you need to find Bitpim. Download it, install it, all that grand stuff.
Set your phone for Modem mode under the US...

What case or skin is best?

I just ordered this phone, and am looking to get a case or skin for it, and there are so many different types. I don't like having it clipped to my pants, but a lot of the skins and faceplates are rubbery and not easy to slide in your pocket. Plus this is my first time with a touch phone and I am not even sure it is a good idea to put in my pocket. I am looking for some help on what is the best way to protect this phone.

Delete previous Google searches

I've tried clearing the cookies, temp files, autocomplete, and history, and been through all of the settings on Google to try and delete these, but no matter what, my previous searches still come up when I type in a letter. Any ideas?

Go to Settings > Display Settings > then scroll aaaaall the way down to the bottom. You'll see "Shortcut Bin" and "Music Handle" - switch them to "off" and viola!

How do you add words to the T9 dictionary?

How do you add words to the T9 dictionary for this phone? I've tried spelling the word out in ABC mode and then switching back to T9, but it doesn't work, so please don't suggest it. This method used to work on my previous phone (2nd generation LG Chocolate), so I was wondering if anyone knows how to do it for the LG Chocolate Touch?
