Ringtones on the Motorola Adventure V750

Any tricks to getting ringtones on the Motorola Adventure V750? I have tried sending tones to my phone using both an e-mail account and VZWPIX. I have tried .midi, .wav, .mp3 etc. My tones get stored in "My Sounds" and not "My Ringtones" in the Media Center on the phone. When entering or editing contacts, the tones in "My Sounds" are not available to be used as a ringtone.
Thanks for any help.
For ring tones just make sure they are under 30 seconds and send to using funformobile.com works like a charm. It then gives the option to set as ring tones.
use MSU and p2kcommander for ringtones and wallpaper. good write up here:

There are at least two different h/w&s/w versions of this phone. If you an earlier version, I've heard of BitPM and P2K Commander both working to xfer ringtones. People can also either text themselves (or via funmobile or similar sites) with an atta...

headset jack? music only comes through speakers and not headphones!

has anyone tried putting music on this phone and then listening through regular headphones? i have been through 2 of these phones now and both are the same - music comes through the speakers and not the headphones. it needs the 2.5mm adapter, which i have, but alas, still no music through headphones, only speakers. help?
I also have a 2.55mm adapter, and can hear music with the phone flip closed, but it only comes out of one earbud.
No problem here - music (mp3 files stored on micro SD card), Vcast video audio etc. come out of the earbuds and not the speaker when plugged into the headphone jack. I have the inexpensive earplugs from the V750 accessory page on the Verizon Wireles...

Music transfer from PC needs Rhapsody?

As I read the Verizon info some more, it looks to me that in order to transfer music from your PC, you need a subscription to VCAST Music with Rhapsody (at $15/month) in order to make the transfer. Is this correct? Is there any other way to get music on this phone?

Thanks!

Hank/ke0cu
You do not have to pay $15/month to transfer music to your V750. Just need to get the USB cable to connect your phone to your computer. I'm running Windows XP SP3 and Windows Media Player 11. When the phone is connected to your computer, you wil...

OK, Has Anyone Tried Tethering A Laptop With This Phone????

This is a Rev A phone. And I see people mentioning that the downloads on the phone seem faster.

Does anyone have Phone as Modem service with Verizon who has activated this phone?

I think they charge $60/month for this, so probably not too many of you do.

But for those who do, how fast is this thing, really? Can you post up and download speeds on your laptop? Thanks.

rlowell
Nah but REVA is awesome for mobile web. it super fast and downloads are quick as hell!

will v750 send DTMF as PIN?

My v750 does not appear to send DTMF tones for the PIN on my voicemail.

I've inserted a 2-second pause after the *86, and then my PIN and the "#" sign. It connects to voicemail no problem, but won't send tones.

Can anyone enlighten me?

tia
From the main screen, press the "message" key, then "settings", then option 7 (Voicemail#) and enter the *86, the "pause" and your 4-digit password.
When I hold down the number 1 key from the main screen, my V750 will dial *86, pause, then dial my vo...

I would only use a phone with mp3 capabilities if it was capable of stereo reproduction through some kind of stereo headset. Can you do that with this phone? Thanks!
I got the i-DIGI earbuds from the Verizon Wireless Website. When plugged into the headphone jack on the V750, you do get stereo sound from MP3 music stored on the optional micro SD card. Also noticed stereo sound while watching V-cast music videos...

Extended Battery for the Motorola Adventure

I own this phone and purchased the extended battery for it. Mammadillo was inquiring about it, so I said I would give feedback when I got the battery. I actually love it! It's not at all bulky like I thought it might be. It actually feels better and snugger in the hand with the extended battery. It's raised up just a little, no where near how I figured it might look. It does last a long time. I think with the regular battery, you get about 3.7 hours of talk time/usage. With the extended, it's about 7.5 hours of talk/usage. Of course depending on how you use it, will affect it also. I played around with it quite a bit, surfed wallpaper sites, texted, talked. On the regular battery, one or 2 bars would have gone down already, but ...

Is this phone locked or unlocked? How do I find out? If it is locked, can it be unlocked?

Most importantly, can it be used in Europe, Italy or Spain (with a European SIM card?)?

What exactly does CDMA 1X evdo mean...in English?

Thanks.

Miko-o! You might want to exchange it for another one. It sounds like something is wrong with the battery. I have the same phone, and I can usually go 2 to 3 days or a little more, depending on how I use it. I mainly talk, not heavy use, text, and bro...

I tried the ENV2 and it dropped calls too much for my taste....in my house it is hard to keep a signal...your thoughts...Thanks
Hey crans12! I feel that the vibrate is pretty strong. Definitely feel it. I love the reception, to me it sounds like a landline. I have had no dropped calls, and the signal strength for me has been good. I don't know where you live to have so many co...

Reseat Battery Once A Day

I have an issue with the Text Messaging part of the phone. About once a day I'll go to text message and the phone will SLOWWW down. It will be 3-4 words behind what I am texting when normally it keeps up fine. Reseating the battery sometimes helps. Call to motorola support was about useless. The foreign lady kept saying "it is a new phone sir, give it a chance" and "that is normal" and finally said something about tranferring me to software to get an update. There is no new software update for this phone. Anyone else have this prob?

Bluetooth or wired stereo headset for use with the V750

Anyone using bluetooth or wired stereo headphones or stereo earpieces with the Motorola Adventure V750? Although I just put an 8-gig memory chip in the phone and loaded up a few hundred songs, the phone is not going to replace my MP3 player. I would be using the headphones mostly while watching videos on Vcast and occasional use for listening to music.
Thanks ahead of time for any feedback.
Just answered my own question. Picked up a set of universal earphones at the Verizon store today. They are part number DIGCRVSHS35. They sound pretty decent. They will work just fine for me while listening to music stored on the phone and for ...

Backlight on Adventure keypad- info needed, please!

I have the Motorola Adventure, and I love it! My question is this. When the keypad is lit up, seems like the number 4 and number 7 are a little dimmer than the rest. Does anyone else who owns this phone, notice it on yours? I'm trying to figure out if it's just my phone, or if it's just how it's made. No big deal, but I want to be sure. I was also surprised (in a good way), to find out that the keypad is light sensored. The backlight won't go on in a light room, but as soon as the area gets dim, the keypad lights up. A verizon rep told me that's normal, something about preserving the battery. Would appreciate some info on what I was inquiring about, thanks!! Soooooo glad I didn't get the Boulder, because when it first came out, I was thinkin...
