Sprint Nextel

What good is it for T-Mobile to acquire a company with incompatible networks. T-mobile is GSM, Sprint is CDMA, Nextel is Iden. They have tried cross talk but not very well. Nextel has a problem with bad dealers.... Sprint and Nextel, and T-mobile lack continuous coverage. Let AT&T and T-Mobile merge (both GSM). Sprint can be absorbed by Verizon (CDMA). As far as Nextel it may be to little to late. It would have mad a great nationwide public safety network.. But do you really think they could agree on anything.

Sprint uses the 1900 PCS band, which is what T-Mobile also uses. There would have to be some money spent but Sprint's CDMA/Iden networks could be shut down in favor of GSM, which is what T-Mobile would probably do anyways. It would take awhile, prob...

Why buy Sprint Its simple 1900 MHz spectrum. T-mobile already has the 1900 MHZ cell sites they use up. All they need to go is re-configure the radios with the added frequencies, and bam more capacity, etc, etc. Dumping Nextel is logical here as...

3G Coverage Map?

Is there any sort of coverage map for the 3G service available in the NYC area?
Not yet, I'm sure it will pop up on their website soon.

can i roam?

i currently have ATT, if i bought a 1700mzh 3G phone. will tomobile let me roam and use their 3G? haha

this is an SE phone

though T-Mobile doesn't announce which HSDPA phone is, it's SE Z780, the first SE phone after 5 years
and the new UMTS works rather well in NYC, and seems to be pretty complete
