phonescoop's phrasing is misleading for sure, but i think (hope) they mean that helio is the first to offer push email for gmail
Maybe Helio is the first to offer a g-mail exclusive application to offer Push E-mail. But they are not the first to offer it free. Any way you put this article makes no sense , Since helio was not first at all/

I thought sprint had Sprint Mobile Email...

I've been getting my hotmail and gmail push email for a while with the sprint mobile email. So why is there a news story saying that helio is first?
I don't think that's actually push, that's like AT&T Xpressmail which may appear to be push but in actuality it's checking every few minutes/30 seconds but it appears to be push since it has a new mail indicator. Try sending an e-mail to yourself a f...

at&t has had push since the dawn of time

Must be a misprint cause AT&T has had push or at least i have for the past 4 years. through both blackberry and windows devices. microsoft push is available for the palm 750 at&t tilt and a number of other phones. as well as any blackberry

I get my hotmail and gmail pushed through that program... have been for a while actually.
