Nokia the logical buyer?

I was thinking that Nokia would be a logical buyer for Motorola's handset division. Here is why:

Nokia - strong in most of the world but weak in the United States

Motorola - strong in the United States but weak elsewhere

If Nokia buys Motorola's handset division, they will easily win back the U.S. market, which Nokia has been struggling in.
Makes Sense. However, how do you feel that there would be an integration of product lines? Would Nokia do away with Hello MOTO all together or would they continue selling the handsets?

Having a possible gain by your theory; would Nokia manufactur...

OH NO!!

What will we do with out 300 different versions of the razr?
I dunno...I might buy a useful phone now.... 😁
[insert joke about cutting oneself here]

😉 😁

I want to feel bad about this, but it's been coming for a long time - they're not a creatively bankrupt company, but they've been practically moving backwards compared to most of their compe...

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I am the only one left that likes Motorola phones? I've used Motorola phones for years and have always been happy...now granted I never bought a razr only iden and the hybrid ic902, which is the best phone I have ever used! Don't sell Moto 😢
When it comes to iDen, Nextel/PTT phones, do you really have a choice in other brands of cellphones?

The sooner the better! At least make some phones that dont have the UI and bluetooth crippled beyond belief. I had an old moto that i gave away. Compared to SE , Nokia , LG , and lots of others moto doesnt hold a candle to them. Not even in the same ...

Well the last Motorolas I had were a complete disappointment. I had a RAZR for one day and got rid of it for an MPX220 which was a complete disappointment. Too many bugs, gave it up for a T637 until now for the N82 which so far is the best phone I cou...

Not Suprising, They had it coming for a While

Why I'm not surprised? Well, I can't claim to be know everything about cellphones, but I do know a little. I know that what Moto has been producing in the last 2 years has been 2 years Behind the competition. In terms of GSM phones [which are the only real ones that count], their handset line is pathetic. For instance, Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Samsung, LG and others have all released high tech phones with built in 5 mp cameras, Wifi, GPS in 2007. Good old Moto doesn't even have one phone out there that is has better camera quality than 2 megapixel. With the exception of the Q9, None of their phones even have built in wifi.
In terms of style, the razr and slvr were cool in 2005, but moto hasn't produced anything new since. Even Apple, which ha...

This is a Sad Day for the Pioneers

Oh cruel world!!!
Why are thou so competitive,
That pioneer in the art of phones may not survive...

Seriously though, it is sad that the inventors of cell phones are considering they are no longer willing to stay in this business..

GREG BROWN is worse than his predecessor (the worthless Ed Zander), in that he wants to immediately destroy the primary business of the company he just took helm of.

Start Something New

If Moto would start with a newer app friendly OS then they might sell but when going for style and nothing that is notably app friendly then what will be continued. People will only buy style untill the next fad comes.
